It was a great day when we visit this
place. All my colleagues impressed by this kind of way to teaching. They use
the mobile devices and smart devices to help student and improve their skills.
They gave us some good application that they
use in their classes. I'll try to implement some of these programs to my
class when I go home.
Hello,
ReplyDeletenice of you to have checked Omnia's web page for more information!
Omnia is active in many EU projects, and has acquired funding for mobile learning partly from EU. It's challenge now is, how to mainstream the knowledge it has gained in these projects and make mobile learning possible also for other students.
I'm a true believer of mobile learning! I have myself used my phone and my iPad for teaching for many ears now, and couldn't work without them any more! I believe they would also offer an excellent tool for the students. E.g. some boys aren't much of writers, and cannot write a good report on their on-the-job learning. But with a phone (or a tablet) they could take pictures from their working place and very easily make "comic book" out of that (pictures + some text). They could also easily post in a blog (e.g. Posterous) what they have learned. Or make a podcast on Audioboo. There just are so many possibilities with a mobile!
You mention that you might explore the possibilities of mobile learning at your school. Could you elaborate a bit more, what you have in mind?
